We are looking for a full time permanent, SR Bookkeeper – Cloud Accounting Specialist, for a large accounting firm in Vancouver.  

The successful candidate must be located in BC, within driving distance of one of the offices as this is a HYBRID role. There are four office locations to choose from so plenty of options to meet traveling needs. 

You must be legally able to work in Canada to qualify for this role.

The bookkeeper we are looking for will need to be:

The responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Full charge bookkeeping: end to end bookkeeping for multiple businesses in various industries using QuickBooks Online and various applications
  • GST/PST for BC; calculations and remittances
  • Payroll bookkeeping only, not processing
  • Payment processing using Plooto
  • Company file set ups/conversions into QuickBooks Online
  • Onboarding new clients and providing client support
  • Document management using Hubdoc
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports

Qualifications needed are:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, preferably within a multiple business support organization (accounting or bookkeeping firm or multiple companies) 
  • Knowledge of payroll processing in order to facilitate record keeping
  • Sound knowledge of GST/PST for BC (Required)
  • Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in accounting and/or bookkeeping (Asset)
  • Willing and eager to learn new applications and tasks

Technology & Application knowledge needed:

  • Minimum of 2 years working with QuickBooks Online (Required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced abilities in Excel (Required)
  • Familiarity with XERO, QB Desktop and Sage 50 (Asset)
  • Familiarity with Hubdoc Document Management or similar online receipt management system (Asset)
  • Familiarity with Payment Evolution or other online payroll software
  • Familiarity with Plooto for payment processing
