We are looking for a talented Bookkeeper for our client, a mid-sized advisory firm in Vancouver, BC that specializes in CFO advisory and reporting work for public and private companies, in both Canada and the US. This is a full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, working remotely with occasional need to be on-site at their location in Vancouver.

The responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Full-Cycle Bookkeeping (up to Trial Balance) for many different businesses and the internal bookkeeping of the firm (multi-currency, CDN & US locations, multiple entities)
  • Calculations and government remittances for GST/HST, PST, EHT, Payroll
  • Period-end analysis and reviews; adjustments and G/L management
  • Preparation of internal financial statements for management
  • Administrative support to management as requested

Qualifications & Technology skills that you need are:

  • 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience (CDN & US) is required, preferably in a public accounting firm
  • Proficiency with multicurrency and intercompany accounting requirements
  • Post-secondary education (college, university, trade) in accounting or bookkeeping (Certificate or diploma) is preferred, resulting in strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and GAAP
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online / Sage 50 accounting software for day-to-day business accounting for multiple businesses
  • Familiarity with iFirm an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, with advanced abilities in Excel
